Eleanor Munshaw passed away Thursday, August 5th, 2026 at home in Brush after a battle with dementia. 

     She was born in Richmond, Virginia on December 13th, 1937, and spent most of her life as part of a military family. In 1972, she moved to Peetz, Colorado, with her children. After all of her children graduated, Eleanor moved to Sidney, Nebraska, where she later married Rick Munshaw. 

     Eleanor and Rick enjoyed many days together fishing, creating memories they cherished until this passing. Eleanor also had a passion for crocheting and loved spending time playing keno at the Silver Dollar in Sidney.

     When Eleanor became ill, she moved to Brush, Colorado, to live with her only daughter, Vickie. Although dementia changed many things, it never took away Eleanor's wonderful sense of humor. Whenever someone asked how she was feeling, she would often answer with her unforgettable response: "Fine as frog hair." Her humor and quick wit brought smiles and laughter to those around her. 

     Her two granddaughters, Jennifer and Ashley, were an important part of her care and were blessed to share precious time with her. They will especially miss her stories, jokes, and the unique personality that made Eleanor so special. 

     She is survived by her two sons, Johnny Harper, Danny Wieser, her only daughter Vickie Hradecky, brother Dennis Harper, 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

     She is preceded in death by her husband Rick, her parents, brother Larry Harper, her sons, Dough Harper, Bill Harper, Joe Wieser and her granddaughters Heather Hradecky, Misty Harper and her great granddaughter Aliana O'Dell. 

     Eleanor will be remembered for her strength, her sense of humor, and the many memories she created throughout her life. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and stories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
