Naill
March 4, 1929 – September 6, 2025
Elsie Leona Naill was born on March 4th, 1929, the daughter of Barbara (Kauffman) Brandt and Henry Brandt. She was raised in Fort Morgan, Colorado and graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1947. She worked as secretary at the Farmers State Bank and later the Bloedorn Insurance Agency.
She was a member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority, a charter member of the Buckskin Brigade Club in 1961, and during their life in Hoyt on the ranch she was an active member of Hoyt Home Circle Club.
Elsie and Lyle Naill met at the bowling alley in Fort Morgan and married on June 26th, 1949. It was a short courtship but a long marriage just short of 60 years together when Lyle passed in 2009.
Three children joined their happiness. Gary, Lynell and Lori plus 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Elsie's faith, family and friends were her life story.
Preceding Elsie in death were her husband, Lyle, her parents, Barbara and Henry Brandt, a sister, Ruth Morgan, six brothers, Ray, Henry, Harry, Albert, Dan and Leroy, and son-in-law Howard Lebsock.
She is survived by son Gary (Elizabeth Barkell) of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, daughter Lynell (Jon) Darrah of Fort Collins, daughter Lori (Dennis) Elliott of Tulsa, Oklahoma, two sisters, Edna Erosky of Denver and Dorothy Kamanski of Los Angeles, California, and 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A funeral service honoring Elsie's life and legacy is set to take place on September 19th, 2025 beginning at 2:00pm at Immanuel Evangelical Church located at 318 W 7th Ave, Fort Morgan, CO 80701. A graveside service at Riverside Cemetery at 601 W 8th Ave is to follow. A livestream of services can be accessed using the below link at the time of the service https://iechurch.org/
The family asks that contributions be made in memory of Elsie to the Immanuel Evangelical Church.
