IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Everett Charles
Mcilvanie
October 1, 1944 – November 17, 2024
Everett Charles Mcilvanie was born October 1, 1944 to parents Joseph and Ruth Mcilvanie in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Everett passed away on November 17, 2024 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Lakewood.
Everett married Vanita Mcilvanie November 17, 1968 and they remained together for the entirety of his life. They lived together in Fort Morgan for their entire time together. Everett graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1962. He began his career working with Stickney's, where he sold automotive parts. He took a break from this career early on, and enlisted in the United States Army as a combat medic, where he would remain for six years. He took great pride in his medical training and ability. After serving, Everett returned to Fort Morgan and to Stickney's store. He moved on to work for Morgan County in their auto shop, and then took up a job as a parts man for Central Auto Parts, and finally MSH Automotive where he would remain until he retired.
In his free time, Everett greatly enjoyed watching WWE wrestling. He refinished furniture, and loved to see his work get put to use by his family. He enjoyed fishing for catfish, and also went out duck hunting with his best friend Fred Fabricus often. Everett and his wife Vanita both attended the Fort Morgan Church of the Nazarene for many years where Everett served as an usher. He even got certified as a chauffeur so that he could drive the bus for the children of the church.
Everett is survived by his wife, Vanita Mcilvanie, his son, Varlyn Mcilvanie, his daughter, Bethany Nozaki (Ray), his sister, Fern Reich (Sonny), his grandchildren, Marisa Nozaki, Michael Nozaki, Matthew Nozaki and Aidan Nozaki, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Everett is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ruth Mcilvanie, his brothers, Orville Mcilvanie and Ivan Mcilvanie, and his sister, Annabelle Johnston (Glenn).
Written condolences can be addressed to the Mcilvanie Family, C/O Rowanoak Mortuary, 231 S. Sherman Street, Fort Morgan, Colorado 80701.
