Obituary

Herman was born to Herman Anthony Schulte Sr. and Judy Kay (Baker) in Lynch, Nebraska. He had 3 siblings- Julie, Keith and Joseph. His beloved partner in crime was often his sister Julie. One story included hiding under their little brother's bed and lighting a kerosene lamp to brighten his room, only to ignite their little brother's bed with him in it (brother was unharmed).

Herman graduated from Westminster High School in 1984. He decided to join the Navy in 1986 and after basic training had chosen to become a Seabee. He volunteered to serve in Desert Storm, transporting ammo and repairing equipment such as tanks, helicopters, water trucks and anything engine related.

While serving in Adak, Alaska, he met Lisa Wolfley in 1986. In 1987, they welcomed their first child Autumn. Their second child, Anthony, was born in 1989 and lastly they welcomed their third child, Larry Louis Jacob "Jake" in 1992.

Herman furthered his education after returning home from Saudi Arabia at the Denver Diesel Automotive College. He earned a degree in Diesel mechanics, where he thrived and made a lifelong career of doing what he loved.

Later, Herman married Nancy Abbott on August 1st, 2014, becoming a stepdad to Skye, Levi and Ace.

Herman found the greatest joy when fishing and helping others. Seeing others smile was always a goal for him. He loved taking his two boys fishing on the Snake, Grey's and Salt Rivers in Wyoming where many, many memories were forged. He loved working on classic cars while listening to 80's rock. His lifelong love for the Denver Broncos came from his father and extended to his children every game day.

He will always be remembered as a very hardworking man, rarely missing a day of work. He loved sharing his passion of being a mechanic with others. His family always knew with great confidence that "if Dad can't fix it, no one can."

Herman is preceded in death by his parents, Judy and Herman Schulte, his niece, Audrey Kennedy and many aunts and uncles.

Herman is survived by his wife, Nancy Schulte, his siblings, Julie (Robert) Kennedy, Keith (Diane) Schulte, and Joseph (Alicia) Schulte, his children, Autumn (Brock) Beebe of Etna, Wyoming, Anthony Schulte of Craig, Colorado, and Jake (Shaylee) Schulte of Alpine, Wyoming and 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Herman will be greatly missed. Until we meet again, we will find comfort in knowing you are watching over us.
