Born on January 19, 1973, in Fort Morgan, Colorado, Johnny passed unexpectedly in his childhood home on September 22, 2026.

     A talented musician, inventor, and entrepreneur, Johnny followed in his late father’s footsteps by owning an auto detail shop and playing his dad’s guitar.

     He was an avid collector of cars and coins, loved his cat, “Meowmers,” and was known for his generous heart, bright smile, and the deep love he shared with those around him.

     Johnny graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1991 and Northeastern Junior College in 2014 with an Associate of Applied Science in Business, Marketing, and Management. Most recently, he served as the highly respected maintenance manager for Best Western Plus Overland Inn in Fort Morgan.

     He is preceded in death by his father, John P. Torrez Jr.

     He is survived by his mother, Sharon Bustamante; his siblings Angela Gonzales (Phoenix, AZ), Yolanda Wells (Colorado Springs, CO), and Levi Torrez (Fort Morgan, CO); and nieces and nephews: Aaron, Nicholas, Anthony, Alicia, Kalista, Cayden, Eli, Naiyeli, and Esau.

     In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Helena Catholic Church, 816 Park St., Ft. Morgan, CO 80701 in remembrance of Johnny.
