Lauro Sanchez Rojas passed away on July 31, 2026. Lauro was born on December 3, 1959, in Zacatecas, Mexico to parents Jose Sanchez Carranza and Maria de La Luz Rojas Vargas.

     Lauro’s journey was characterized by hard work and dedication. Traveling from Zacatecas, Mexico, to Chicago, Los Angeles, and finally Denver, Lauro worked as a rancher, a laborman, a cook, a comedian, and anything surrounding agriculture.

     Lauro married Maria Bañuelos in March of 1983 in Zacatecas. They remained together until 2006.

     Lauro was passionate about rodeos and horse races, and raising cattle was a meaningful part of his life. Music was a source of joy and comfort for him, and he loved to listen to the songs of Antonio Aguilar, Chalino Sanchez, Lalo Mora, Laberinto, and Pedro Infante.

     He is survived by his ex-wife, Maria de jesus Bañuelos, his sons, Hugo Cesar Sanchez and Cesar Yasef Sanchez, his brothers, Samuel Sanchez, Isidro Sanchez, Manuel Sanchez, and Antolino Sanchez, as well as his sister Josefina Sanchez, his grandchildren, Marcus Vincent Sanchez, Jesus Librado Sanchez, Laura Gabriela Sanchez, Cristofer Adan Sanchez, Angie Liliana Sanchez, Leslie Anali Sanchez, and Jonathan Hugo Sanchez.

     Lauro was preceded in death by his father, Jose Sanchez Carranza, and mother, Maria de La Luz Rojas Vargas, his sons, Eduardo Sanchez Bañuelos and Lauro Sanchez Jr., his brothers Encarnacion, Jesus, and Raul Sanchez, along with his sisters Graciela, Oliva, and Rafaela Sanchez, in eternal rest.
