Marcelina Leaños Ramirez was born on June 2nd, 1947 to parents Juan and Antonia Leaños. Marcelina passed away on June 3rd, 2026.

     Growing up in Juarez, Mexico, Marcelina married Dionicio Ramirez on February 2nd, 1972. Their family came to Fort Morgan in the early 2000’s, they remained in the area for the rest of their time together. Marcelina and Dionicio brought 7 children into the world together, 6 girls and 2 boys. Dionicio and Marcelina remained together until his passing in 2015.

     Marcelina was a dedicated homemaker, spending her time caring for her family. She proudly attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brush. Marcelina could often be found crocheting or sewing a wide variety of lovely things for her family, which included dresses, clothes, shoes for children, flowers and scarves. She loved to listen to Spanish music, but especially enjoyed Los Cadetes.

     Marcelina is survived by her son, Jose Luis Ramirez, her daughters, Patricia Ramirez, Sandra Ramirez, Margarita Rodriguez, Angelica Rodriguez, Rubi Ramirez, Perla Lozano, her sister, Lucina Leaños, 24 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

     Marcelina is preceded in death by her husband, Dionicio Ramirez, her parents, Juan Poulo Leaños Ruiz and Antonia Leaños, her son, Jesus Dionicio Ramirez, her brothers, Juan Leaños, Cornelio Leaños, and Rafael Leaños, and her sisters, Lala Leaños, Lupe Leaños, and Antonia Leaños.
