Margaret (Martinez -Garcia) Vasquez passed away peacefully in her home on May 2 nd 2026. She was born February 21, 1940 in Fort Morgan Colorado to Victor and LuLu Martinez. She graduated from high school in 1958. She was married to her first husband, Reyes Garcia Jr., July 22, 1961. Margaret and Reyes, along with their son Martin, moved Colorado Springs in 1967. 

     Margaret worked in senior care as a CNA at Spring Village Care Center in Colorado Springs for nearly 25 years. This was a natural fit for her generous and caring ability to be of service to others.

     Margaret lost her beloved Reyes, October 15, 1998. A few years after his passing she found love again. She moved to Fort Morgan and soon after married Juan Vasquez, January 2, 2001.They were happily married until Margaret's passing.

     Her home life centered around her faith and love of family. She will always be remembered for her skill at cooking amazing meals for her family or anyone else that wanted to join. She was devoted to her children Martin (Tracy) Garcia, Yolanda (Mark) Angle, Elizabeth (Ron Dorland) Ortega-Dorland and Margaret (Joe) Myers and grandchildren and great grandchildren.

     She is proceeded in death by her parents, husband Reyes Garcia, son Martin Garcia, daughter Elizabeth Ortega, brother Victor Martinez, sisters Judy Mendez and Mary Lou Mesa, grandson Adrian Garcia and son in law Joe Myers.

     Margaret is survived by her husband Juan Vasquez; daughters Yolanda Angle and Margaret Myers, 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many other beloved family members and friends.
