Mary Lucille Guzman was born to parents Raymond and Isabella Cardenas on April 18th, 1936 in Greeley, Colorado. She passed away on October 26th, 2025 in Brush, Colorado.

Mary worked hard all her life, attending school in LaSalle, Colorado eventually transitioning from education to harvesting beets for local farms. Her next career was with Kuners Canning Company where she worked until 1955 when she took a new job at Eben Ezer Care Center in Brush, Colorado as a Nurse's Aide. It was here at Eben Ezer where she met the love of her life, Henry Guzman.The couple celebrated the sacrament of marriage on May 11th, 1963 at St. Mary's Church in Brush, Colorado. They remained together until Henry's passing in 1984. Mary attended St. Mary's Church for nearly seventy years. She enjoyed embroidery, listening to music, singing, and cooking.

Mary is survived by her son, Andy Guzman, her daughters, Patricia Lara and Una Miller, her brother, Tom Cardenas, 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Guzman, her son Charlie Guzman, her brothers Roman, Consuelo, Tony, Ray, and Joe; her sisters Isabel, Anita, Mary, Silby, Esther, Isabel C, and Margaret; and her grandchild Mya.
