Melissa Ann Morales was born to parents David and Alice Perez on January 21st, 1971.  She passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 15th, 2025.

Melissa was born and raised in Fort Morgan, Colorado. She spent 35 years with her husband, Gilbert, and they remained together until the time of her passing. She attended Fort Morgan High School and Morgan County Community College, where she earned the certifications to work as a Social and Case Worker, a daycare teacher at Sherman Elementary, a property manager and a real estate agent.

Melissa loved the outdoors, and could often be found fishing or camping. She especially enjoyed music from the 70's and 80's, especially Led Zeppelin and Queen. Her friends and family treasured her for her quick-witted and funny personality, along with her signature sarcasm and orneriness.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Gilbert Morales, her daughter, Gabriella Morales, her beloved dogs, Deebo and Nala, her brothers, Nick Perez and Dave Perez, and many members of the Morales family, Trujillo, Perez, Ayala. DeLaFuente, Bourquin, Torralba, Eurich, and many more extended family members.

Melissa is preceded in death by her parents, Alice and David Perez, her sisters, Rosemary and Patricia Perez, her sister-in-law, Yolanda Lee Eurich, and a brother-in-law, Martin Dugan Morales II, and other members of the Trujillo and DeLaFuente families.
