It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mike "Ernie" Gutierrez.

Ernie was born on November 20th,1953 to Secundino Gutierrez and Ofelia Reyes De Gutierrez in Brush Colorado. Brush was his home for majority of his life. Ernie graduated from Brush High School in 1972. He went on to work for the City of Brush, Wisdoms, and many meat packing facilities. He later retired from Cargill in 2024. Ernie's favorite hobbies were playing softball and pool.

He suddenly passed to reunite with his loved ones on March 8, 2026. Ernie is proceeded in death by his parents Secundino and Ofelia and brothers Loreto "Larry" Gutierrez and Felix "Mondo" Gutierrez.

Ernie is survived by his daughter Wendy Gutierrez and 3 additional daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings; Celia Ramirez, Gilbert(Sally) Gutierrez, Bertha(Luis) Lomeli, and Cecilia Hernandez and many nieces and nephews.
