Reyes B. Garcia was born April 25th, 1956 to parents Ruperto and Maria Garcia in Brownfield, Texas. Reyes and his family travelled between Texas and Colorado as migrant farmers before settling down in Morgan County, Colorado. He attended school in Brush and Fort Morgan and went on to get his bachelor's degree in electronics repair in Colorado Springs, and finally settled down himself in Brighton with his longtime partner Tammy Paulson.

Reyes was a Catholic all his life and loved to ride his motorcycle and fix his cars. He enjoyed attending family gatherings and loved to barbecue. He particularly enjoyed shooting pool, especially with family and friends. He was fond of music and enjoyed listening to classic rock like Metallica and Spanish music of all kinds.

He is survived by his son, Reyes Navarette, his daughters, Salina Tapia, Aaliyah Garcia and Reina Garcia, his brothers, Ramon Garcia, Rosario Garcia, Ricardo Garcia, his sisters, Alicia Rodriguez, Amelia Winchester, Lucy Tarver, and five grandchildren.

Reyes is preceded in death by his parents Ruperto and Maria Garcia and his brothers, Ruperto Garcia, Raul Garcia and Ruben Garcia.

A visitation is to be held on Friday, August 18th, 2023 at Rowanoak Mortuary and Crematory at 4:00 PM, which will include a rosary that will begin at 6:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Saturday, August 19th 2023 at 11:00 AM, with a procession to the Brush Memorial Cemetery to follow.
