Obituary

Rick Santisteven, 65, passed away on May 19, 2026.

Rick was born on May 8, 1961, in Casper, Wyoming. He later moved to LaSalle, Colorado, where he grew up and attended school through the ninth grade. Shortly after, he moved to Wiggins, Colorado, where he met Sofia Segura and began building a family together. Rick was a father to three sons and one daughter.

Rick spent much of his life working hard in various animal processing plants, doing what he could to provide and support his family. He was known for his strong work ethic and determination.

He enjoyed the simple things in life—spending time with friends and family, especially gathering at Bo’s Park, where he loved to laugh and enjoy good company. Rick had a sweet tooth that many will remember, and he could often be found enjoying his favorite treats. He was also known for riding his bike everywhere, a familiar sight that reflected his independence. Rick loved watching the Denver Broncos and WWE wrestling, which brought him a lot of enjoyment.

Even though Rick struggled with alcoholism, he still made the best out of his life and found ways to enjoy the moments he had with those around him.

Rick will be remembered for his presence in the lives of those who knew him, and for the moments of connection, humor, and time shared with family and friends.

Rick Santisteven is survived by his daughter, Rachel Price and spouse Eric Price; his sons, Zenon Santisteven and Patrick Santisteven; his sister, Lori Valles; his grandsons, Dominick Ontiveros, Teagan Price, Zayden Santisteven, Solomon Santisteven, and Drizzt Santisteven; and his granddaughters, Selena Contreras, Naiyah Contreras, Kattabrie Santisteven, and Fayelynn Santisteven.

He was preceded in death by his son, Rickie Santisteven; his grandson, Davian Santisteven; his brother, Randy Santisteven; and his mother, Helen Wirth.

The family invites those who knew Rick to a celebration of life at Brush Memorial Park located at 500 South Clayton Street in Brush, CO on Saturday, June 6th, starting at 10am with lunch to follow.
