Robert Alan Baker, 79 of Brush, Colorado, passed away on Saturday August 17th, 2024 at home in Eaton, Colorado surrounded by his family. Robert was the son of Willis and Gwendolyn Baker, he lived in the northern Colorado area his whole life. Four years ago, Robert and Sandra moved to Eaton, Colorado.
Robert married Sandra K. Becker on Easter Sunday, March 29, 1970. This is the only time that Easter landed on their Anniversary. They shared 53 wonderful years together. They had two daughters, son in-laws and six grandchildren. Kristine and Ian Schott and their children Gator Schott, Kora Rickel and her husband Lonnie Rickel and Payton Schott. Rebecca and Eric McCall and their children, Aven and Coen McCall. He loved his family and always enjoyed attending all and every event of his girls and grandchildren.
Robert was drafted on January 19, 1967 into the US Army where he served his country in Vietnam. Upon his return he met and married his wife Sandy. Then they built an amazing and wonderful life together.
Robert lived his life with patience and loved his family unconditionally. He was the best dad a daughter could ever have.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife Sandra K. Baker, his parents Gwen and Willis Baker, his brother, David Baker and his grandparents, grandpa and grandma Ehrlich and grandpa and grandma Balderson.
He is survived by his daughters, Kristine and Rebecca, his son in-laws, Ian and Eric, six grandchildren, Gator, Kora, Lonnie, Payton, Aven and Coen. His brother and sister in law, Ronald and Barbara Baker, sister in law Peggy Baker, brother Benny Baker, sister Daralis Baker and sister Sonya Burger. As well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation and services will be held at the Lutheran Church of our Redeemer, 1100 W. Platte, Fort Morgan, Colorado on Thursday August 22, 2024. Visitation begins at 9am, with service following at 10am. Burial will follow the service at Brush Memorial Cemetery, 1110 Mill Street, Brush, Colorado.
