February 7, 1938 – November 24, 2025
Robert W. (Bobby) Campbell was born to parents George and Lola Campbell in Exeter, California on February 7th, 1938. Robert went fishing with the Lord on November 24th, 2025 in Brush, Colorado.
From California, Robert lived briefly in Denver, Colorado before moving to Goodrich, Colorado, just north of Weldona. Robert graduated from Weldona High School in 1958. He married the love of his life, Betty, on Friday, May 5th, 1961 at the Church of the Nazarene in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Robert and Betty worked together to start their homestead in Morgan County.
Robert spent 28 years working for Great Western Sugar, and after gaining his pension he took up work for the postal service as a conductor driving mail routes. He did this for another 8 years. Robert attended the Church of the Nazarene in both Weldona and Fort Morgan.
Robert loved to be outdoors, and particularly enjoyed fishing and camping in the mountains with his family. He loved to tell jokes and poke fun with his loved ones, and was known to tell folks "You look smart today!". He enjoyed listening to classic country music, especially songs by Boxcar Willie and Johnny Cash.
Robert is survived by his wife, Betty Campbell, his son, Kevin (Vickie) Campbell , his daughters, Debra (Jody) Nielsen, Juanita (Kevin) Heesacker, and Rebecca (Rick) Davis, his sisters, Daisy Juanita Carrigan and Mary Ohms, 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, George and Lola Campbell, his brother, Bill Campbell, his sister, June Fenn, his great-grandson, Law Adkins, and his son-in-law, Rick Davis.
No services are scheduled at this time.
