Ronny Lee Stitt, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on August 16, 2026, at his home in Fort Morgan, CO. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories, lessons, laughter, and love that will continue to live on through the family he cherished so deeply.

     Ron was born to Verna and Oakley Joe Stitt on September 28, 1952. He grew up in the Denver and Englewood area in Colorado. Later in life, Ron was connected with his biological father, Fletcher Wood, becoming an important part of his story and family history.

     On February 14, 1979, Ron married his wife, Deborah. Together, they built a life and raised their children, creating a family filled with love, hard work, adventures, and countless memories.

     Ron had a way of becoming a father figure to those around him. He loved, encouraged, taught, and supported not only his own children but many others who looked to him for guidance and a steady presence in their lives. His love extended far beyond the boundaries of family, and the lessons and memories he gave to others will live on long after him.

     Becoming a grandfather was truly what Grandpa Ron was made for. He was a patient, loving, and devoted grandpa who treasured his time with his grandchildren. He never seemed too busy to help them or teach them something, spend time with them, or simply sit and enjoy their company. He passed along not only the things he knew, but also the importance of spending time together and making memories.

     Some of the family’s greatest memories were made on camping trips and fishing adventures. Ron taught his children and grandchildren how to fish, drive the boat, work on cars, ride bikes, swim, and take on woodworking projects. He loved working with his hands and sharing those skills with the people he loved. He also had a great love for riding dirt bikes and ATVs, car shows and just being outdoors. All those moments spent side by side with his wife Debbie.

     Ron is survived by his wife, Debbie; his children, Windy (Eric) Trickel, Roni (Bill) Osborn, Natalie (Jim) Espinoza, and Robert Roach (Jess Helsom); his grandchildren, Rylee, Ryder, and Greyson Trickel, Avry and AJ Osborn, Brynlee Ledford, Drew and Cori Espinoza (Jack McKibben), Tyler and Parker Roach, John Michael Rollins, Hailee and Kaleb Beers; and his great-granddaughters, Layney and Sky McKibben, brother John West and Macy Gray (Ron's beloved dog.) Many nieces, nephews and cousins.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Vern & Verna West, Fletcher Wood and Oakley Joe Stitt; his brother, Philip West; his sister, Barbara West; cousins Roy and Danny Schiffner, and his best friends, Keith Cochren and Danny Amen.

     Ron battled alcoholism, when his health declined, he was able to quit cold turkey and kept his sobriety for 26 years!

     Ron leaves behind a family who loved him deeply and who will feel his absence in countless ways. The memories he created, the skills he taught, the stories he shared, and the love he gave will remain with his family for generations. His grandchildren will remember the grandpa who patiently taught them how to fish. His children will remember the lessons he passed down. And all who loved him will remember the man who gave his time, his knowledge, and his heart to his family.

     Ron’s greatest legacy is the family he loved so fiercely and the memories he helped create.
