Samuel Bonilla-Rivas was born to parents Jose and Maria Bonilla-Rivas on September 16th, 1990 in San Ildefonso, El Salvador. He passed away peacefully on December 4th, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.

Samuel lived in San Ildefonso, El Salvador until 2013 when he moved to Fort Morgan, Colorado. He remained there for the rest of his life. He attended school at Instituto Nacional de Vicente in El Salvador, where he graduated from in 2011.

Samuel worked at Champion Oil from 2021 until the time of his passing. He also previously worked at A&M Threaders and Cargill. His home church is Iglesia Profetica el Nuevo Remanente. Samuel loved soccer and an ice cold Modelo. He could often be found watching novelas and Masterchef Latino. Samuel loved to work on cars and never missed out on a good Home Depot deal. In addition to enjoying a good puzzle, he loved sweet bread and drinking coffee. He had a kind heart for animals, and was a dog lover and cat dad. Samuel enjoyed having a good conversation with just about anyone and was a devoted and dependable father.

Samuel is survived by his mother, Maria Esther Rivas Bonilla, his son, Silas Emanuel Bonilla Reyes, his daughter, Sofia Esther Bonilla Reyes, and his brother, Eric Arsenio Bonilla Rivas.

Samuel is preceded in death by his brother, Silas Antonio Amaya Rivas.
