Obituary

Sirena Kay Dayley was born September 8th 1963 in Fort Morgan, CO to Floyd and Lynda Nichols. At 16 years old she married the love of her life Stanley Dayley on March 25th 1980.They shared 46 years of marriage. To this union they welcomed 3 daughters, Angela in 1981, Heather in 1985 and Dusti Jo in 1988.

Sirena worked different jobs in her lifetime but spent the majority of her working years in the restaurant business waiting tables or cooking. She even ran her own restaurant on two separate occasions (Daily's Hilltop Diner and Sassy’s Diner). Sirena was known for her homemade vegetable soup, red and green chilies, but by far her most loved was her chicken noodle soup. It was loved by many!

Sirena had an amazing sense of humor, even if it made her kids cringe a little here and there. She also had a huge heart and was always thinking of others, evidenced by a nomination for an angels among us award in 2010. She was always one of the first to offer to help, whether it was her kids, family or a friend in need. Sirena loved hard and never really gave up on those she loved.

One of Sirena's favorite things in life was being a grandma. She had eight grandchildren and they all held a special place in her heart.

Sirena is survived by her husband Stan of Fort Morgan; daughters Angela, Heather (Zach) and Dusti; her grand children, Dakota, Aislyn, Cameron, Evan, Kaylea, Dylan, Sara, and Devin; her sisters Shannon (Jim) and Jerri (Mike) Aunts Sherry Nichols Engle of Fort Morgan, Terri Robbins of Brush; as well as many Cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and many many friends.

She is preceded in death by parents Lynda and Floyd Nichols; grandparents; uncles Glenn, Dale Dean, Marty Young, and Lyle Nichols; aunts Cathy and Molly; brother Darrell Nichols; infant sister Molly; her in-laws; and one great niece.
