Theodore "Ted" Dale McTaggart, 76, of Fort Morgan, Colorado, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, in his hometown. He was born on November 19, 1949, in Fort Morgan to Mark and Elnora (Olson) McTaggart.

Ted married the love of his life, Linda Carlson, in 1970, and together they built a life filled with laughter, family, and deep roots in the Fort Morgan community. They continued to reside there throughout their 55 years of marriage.

Ted is survived by his daughter, Maggie Henderson; granddaughters Isabel Mancha and Ellie Mancha; grandson Tito Mancha; and great-granddaughters Clover Stanton and Adalyn Mancha. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Bob and Jerry McTaggart.
A 1967 graduate of Fort Morgan High School, Ted's early life was full of music. He was the lead singer of the Creed band and performed with them for five memorable years. His professional journey began at Brown's Shoe Fit, which later led to a business partnership at Village Shoes. Ted eventually moved in the auto parts industry, working first at M&H Auto and concluding his career at Central Auto. He retired in July 2025 after 30 dedicated years.

Ted was an active member of the Elks Lodge for a decade and was known for his warm presence and easy conversation. He loved the outdoors—especially fishing in the mountains and hunting near the Olson family homestead south of Brush, Colorado, in the area known as Gary. An avid golfer, Ted seized every sunny day to be out on the course. He was also a devoted Denver Broncos fan from the very beginning.

Music was woven into the fabric of Ted's life. He loved classic rock and could sing along to every word. Some of his favorite artists included Creedence Clearwater Revival, Journey, and Joe Cocker.

Ted will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, his love of family, and the joy he found in the simple things—good music, open skies, and the people he cherished most.
